Survey Reveals Poker Players are Unfaithful -- Chooses Several Poker Rooms

(PRWEB) November 9, 2006 -- A survey made by Cardwolves shows that poker players are unfaithful. A majority of them plays at two or more poker rooms.

The more hours a poker player spends online playing poker the more poker rooms he or she plays at, says Stefan Mahlstein, Chairman of Homerun Gaming Ventures Ltd.

The survey also concludes that the things most important to the poker players are that the poker room offers good bonuses and many tournaments to choose between. This is something that both players that play often and players that play more seldom agree upon.

The not so frequent players thinks it is more important that the poker room is safe and secure while the frequent players ranks technical features higher. Luxury, vanity and famous poker players in the poker room are not perceived as very important to poker players.

Generally the survey shows that poker players primarily seek safe and secure entertainment, Stefan Mahlstein continues.

Search engines are increasingly important tools for the players to find the poker rooms. Recommendations from friends are however still the most important factor when it comes to choosing where to actually open an account and starting to play.

The survey was conducted on 350 Swedish online poker players.

Cardwolves offers online poker players a state of the art poker community via the site http://www.cardwolves.com. Cardwolves is a subsidiary to the Swedish and British owned company Homerun Gaming Ventures Ltd.
Collecting Poker Chips Is Little Known Hobby That Is Growing Like Crazy

(PRWEB) November 1, 2006 -- There is more than one way to make money from poker chips. While most may not be aware that there are poker chip collectors, the hobby of collecting poker chips is growing like crazy.

A quick search on eBay might show thousands of sellers selling everything from highly valued rare poker chips to discontinued house chips and poker chips made for special occasions. In fact, rare poker chips have been known to bring more than $100,000 on eBay.

According to Sylvia Williams, of http://www.signaturepoker.com, "This is not a new hobby. People have been collecting poker chips for years but they just tend to be getting together in the last few years. Local poker chip collecting clubs are popping up all over the world and serving as a way for collectors to meet and share their collections with each other."

Although some rare chips have sold for top dollar on popular auction sites, most poker chip collectors are not in it for the money and simply collect house chips from various casinos for the love of the chips and of course, the game. In addition to poker chips, collecting other casino memorabilia is starting to catch on.

The Casino Chips & Gaming Tokens Collectors Club (http://www.ccgtcc.com) was started in 1988 and has become a hub for collectors to find relevant news and information on collecting as well as new friends who share their fondness for poker chips. Members also receive the The Casino Chip and Token News, a quarterly magazine of the Casino Chips & Gaming Tokens Collectors Club.
